Cartology New Zealand partners with Commercial Communications Council to sponsor FMCG category for Effie Awards 2021

Monday, 20 September 2021

Cartology New Zealand is excited to announce its sponsorship of the FMCG category award at the upcoming Effie Awards on 28 October.

Introduced by the New York American Marketing Association in 1968, Effie is recognised by advertisers and agencies as the pre-eminent award in the advertising industry. It is the only award that honours effective marketing communications and the companies and individuals creating effective work. From Europe to New Zealand, Effie Award programmes are now held in 25 countries on five continents.

Cartology’s General Manager, Samantha Osborne, has a passion for the communications industry and a long history with the awards during her time while working for some of New Zealands’ most iconic agencies.

“Winning an Effie is about meeting a challenge and succeeding. No other advertising award is so widely recognised and coveted ,” says Samantha Osborne.

“At Cartology we work closely with FMCG clients and their agencies to help them directly reach Countdown shoppers in the moments that matter most. Retail media is growing significantly and becoming an increasingly critical part of brand marketing campaigns. It’s a natural fit for us to sponsor this category and it’s just the start of an already strong working relationship with both the Commercial Communications Council and FMCG marketers.”

The Effie Awards programme has a 3-month entry and marketing roll-out period, including a national and international judging process involving over 200 senior marketers, and senior management in advertising, media agencies and from media businesses.  All judges are strategically and commercially focused. Each award programme culminates with a formal gala dinner, attended by advertisers, agencies, media and strategists from across New Zealand. The event is very important to the marketing community and helps to prove the value of effective marketing and advertising to our business leaders.

The Commercial Communications Council holds the New Zealand Effie Award license in association with their principal partner TVNZ.
